Help! I don’t want to die! John 8:48-59

Father
We are swept away in death.
We are brought to an end by your righteous justice.
We stand before your wrath in our sins.
Our iniquities are before us,
Yet your eternal Son offers us a sure escape from death
Because he is the eternal God come to earth.
He is, “I am.”  
He has died in our place.
How blessed we are!
