You Belong - Romans 12:1-8

Father, help us to think with renewed minds.
Help us not to think too highly of ourselves
Help us to remember that our bodies are part of your body.
 
Help us to add to that body
Love and light;
Mercy and joy;
Peace and faith;
Hope and forgiveness.
 
Father, grant that we may not so much seek
To be served as to serve;
To be taught, as to teach;
To be encouraged, as to encourage;
To get as to give.
 
Help us to remember that  
We give because we have received;
We love because we are loved;
We die because we live.
Ever only for the honour of your Son
Our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ,
Amen
